Geraldine Burgess

Geraldine Burgess, 92, of Cabot, Arkansas went to be with the Lord July 6, 2022.  She was born on March 27, 1930, in Swifton, Arkansas to George and Georgia Griffin.  Geraldine was a long-time member of Cabot First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir.  She was a retired bookkeeper and a devoted housewife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. 

She is survived by one son, Kent Schroeder Sr., of Cabot; nine grandchildren, Kent Schroeder, Jr., Shelly Wray, Amanda Scissell, Teresa Rausch, Norman Schroeder, Jr., Keri Zorn, Kirk Schroeder, Brittany Schroeder, Rylee Schroeder; seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Karen Schroeder; one son, Norman Schroeder, Sr; her husbands, Willard Schroeder, Willard Cox, Newman Burgess; and three brothers.

Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.  Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2022, at Cabot First Baptist Church, with entombment in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.  Arrangements by Smith Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.  Please visit www.smithfamilycares.com/westbrook to sign the registry.
