Gerald "Bubba" King age 62, of Arkadelphia, died Thursday, February 18, 2016. He was born November 3, 1953 to the late Gerald Ray and Julia Mae Yates King. Bubba was an electrician, a member of Gurdon Volunteer Fire Department, taught the youth bowling and had Bubba's Bowling League.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, William Adam King; grandparents, Luther Claude and Jewel Yates, and William "Shorty" and Maudine King.
Survivors are his wife, Veronica King; one son, Alex King (Amanda); three daughters, Jamie King (Josh) Hebig, Julia King and Amy Strauchman (Kevin); one brother, Rudolph King; two sisters, Geraldine Fair and Juliann McNair; six grandchildren, Renee Holt, William King, Justin King, Brooklynne King, Alexis King and Jordan Chaffin.
Services will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, February 21st at First Baptist Church in Gurdon with Bro. Randy Murphy and Bro. Kenneth Beavers officiating. Burial will be in Sycamore Cemetery at Beirne. Visitation will be 1:00 pm Sunday until service at the church.
