Gerald Holcomb age 67 of Amity died Saturday, April 24, 2009 at his home. He was born March 6, 1942 the son of Jewell Rush and Cora Kirksey Holcomb. He was purchasing manager for Alumacraft Boat Factory for 40 years and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife Gloria Freeman Holcomb, three sons Brent Holcomb and his wife Nancy of Bodcaw, Brad Holcomb and his wife Kerry of Springdale, and Blake Bell and his wife Meredith of Arkadelphia, one daughter, Heather Reid and her husband Jeff of Arkadelphia, four brothers, Lendol Holcomb and wife Mary, Wayne Holcomb and wife Patricia of Arkadelphia, Gene Holcomb and wife Linda of Piercy, and Larry Holcomb and wife Carolyn of Hot Springs, three sisters, Evelyn Allen of Bismarck, Ruth Partridge of Arkadelphia, and Lavonne Carson and husband Cliff of Hampton, AR, grandchildren, Alison, Anna, Corinne, and Lydia Holcomb, Jeff and wife Rachel Pinto and Kaitlyn and Kaleb Reid.
Funeral services will be 10 A.M. Tuesday in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with Jeff Ainsworth and Bobby McMullins officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Alpine. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Oak Grove Cemetery Fund c/o Martha Robertson, Rt. 1 Amity, AR 71921.
