Gerald Glen Duggan

Gerald Glen Duggan, age 81, of Glenwood, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023.

He was born on January 25, 1942, in Glenwood, the son of Dallas Bauffman Duggan and Gracie Clara Vaughn Duggan.  He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Estelle Duggan and Betty Ruth Jester; and four brothers, Billy Gene Duggan, Odean Duggan, Ronnie Duggan and Dale Duggan.

On April 23, 1966, Gerald was married to the true love of his life, Margaret Karen Nelson.  He worked as a pipeliner and was a member of the Pipeliner Local 798 for 57 years.  Gerald was a Mason, and loved fishing, hunting, gardening, woodworking and working with his cows.  Above all, Gerald was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who dearly loved his family.  He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Gerald is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Karen Duggan of Glenwood; his son and daughter-in-law, Gare and Tami Duggan of Glenwood; his daughter and son-in-law, Gera and Mike Partee of Sarasota, Florida; six grandchildren, Ally, Damien, Kara, Spencer, Clay and Emma Grace; one great-grandchild, Bellamy; one brother, Carlos Duggan of Glenwood; one sister, Sue Wisener of Black Springs; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 15, 2023, in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Bro. Kyle Cowart officiating.

Visitation will be held Friday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Rex Duggan, Kelly Duggan, Michael Duggan, Dallas Wisener, Mike Jester and Robert Woodall.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Nelson, Stephanie Reichert, Kevin Duggan, Zach Boyd, his pipeline friends and family, the nurses and staff of CHI St. Vincent, Hot Springs, Hospice, and the Pike County First Responders.
