Georgia A. Brown, age 68, of Arkadelphia, went to sleep in Christ on Monday, August 12, 2013. She was born on November 17, 1944 in Bismarck, Arkansas the daughter of Ed and Grace Taylor Loy. On September 3, 1960, she married Bobby Ray Brown.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Leon Loy and Carroll Loy, three sisters, Alta Waite, Blanche Finley and Anna Faye Cason.
She was a savvy business woman who worked hard all her life. She loved antiques, collectables and had a passion for creating beautiful quilts as well as a green thumb for landscaping wonderful flower gardens.
Survivors are three sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Voniece Brown of Bismarck, Robert and Julie Brown of Bryant, Arkansas, Ben and Vickie Brown of Skiatook, Oklahoma; one daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and James Thomas of Owasso, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Amanda, Alex, Taylor, Robann, Clayton, Leona, Aden and Emily; two great-grandchildren, Bobby and Xander; one brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Betty Loy of Yakima, Washington; one sister, Louise Prince of Mitchell, Indiana; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 15th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home with Stephen Dickinson officiating. Interment will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery near Bismarck. Visitation will be 9:00 AM Thursday until service at the funeral home.
