Georgia Babcock

Georgia Maie (Swan) Babcock, daughter of Dollie and George Swan was born on the family farm near Crisfield KS on July 23, 1919. She passed away in the home she shared with her daughter, Connie Hofstedt and Dean Connie's husband in Sherwood, AR on May 4, 2017 at the age of 97.

Georgia and Veryl D. Babcock was united in marriage on February 14, 1945 in Hazelton KS, while Veryl was serving in the military overseas. Georgia lived on the family farm with her mother.

Georgia and Veryl have one daughter, Connie.

Georgia retired from the Attica Bank for 23 years. Preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Veryl, sister Phyllis Brown and other close family.

Georgia lived on the family farm until 2007 when she moved to the Attica Annex and then in 2009 moved to Sherwood, AR. to live with Connie and Dean.

Georgia leaves to mourn her daughter Connie, son in law, Dean, granddaughter Nicole Page and her husband Michael two great grandchildren, Berkley Edwards, Georgia Dawn Edwards, and Clifton Page, one sister in law Ruth Ann Carr, nieces Judy (Clint) Mullin and family. Marti (Oria) Lichlyter and family, Carolyn (Doug) Keener and family. Kim (Chris) Seitz and family, nephew Kyle Carr and other relatives and friends.

Arrangements being handled by Smith Family Sherwood Funeral Home, Hwy 107, Sherwood, AR. Cremation will take place, and a reception/celebration of life will be held at the Smith Sherwood Funeral Home on Thursday May 11, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 P.M.

Interment will be in Attica, KS cemetery with a memorial service at the Attica Methodist Church, In Attica, KS on July 25, 2017, at 2:00PM

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Attica United Methodist Church, the Attica Cemetery, the Attica Annex, Sherwood Animal Shelter, Sherwood, AR, or Arkansas Hospice, North Little Rock, AR in Georgia's memory.
