George Delimer Westbrook, Jr. passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020. He was born on January 17, 1932 to George and Geneva Westbrook in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1954 where he was a proud member of the Razorback Marching Band and Lambda Chi Alpha. He married Mitzie Smith and they moved to Pine Bluff where he began his career at Central Transformer. In 1977, George and Mitzie moved to Little Rock when they bought Hudson Marine and started an adventure in the boat business. He loved his home state and was an avid Razorback fan. George was a member of St. James United Methodist Church and the Agape Sunday School class. He also played the trumpet in the North Little Rock Community Band and Swing Band Reunion.
George is survived by his wife, Dorothy Smith “Mitzie” Westbrook, two daughters Debra Bokulic (Ronald) of Cincinnati, OH and Robin Mickel of Conway, AR, two granddaughters Erin Radulski of Wilmington, DE and Caitlin McGovern (Joseph) of New York, NY, two grandsons Thomas Westbrook “Brooks” Mickel of Columbus, OH and Alexander Mickel of Fayetteville, AR and a great grandson, Michael Patrick McGovern of New York, NY.
Due to COVID, there will be a celebration of his life held at a later date. Memorials may be made to St. James United Methodist Church in Little Rock, AR
