George Sims,

George Edward Sims, 67, of Sherwood passed away Monday, May 3, 2010. He was a retired owner/operator of a convenience store and a member of Gospel Lighthouse.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Diane (Graham) Sims; son, George Edward "Jody" Sims, Jr. and his wife April; granddaughter, Madeline Sims, all of Sherwood; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Reba Sims, of North Little Rock; sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Ricky Johnson; sister-in-law, Quincy Bailey, all of Sherwood; two brothers-in-law, Vernon Graham and Mary Ann of Scott and Frank Graham and Sandy of North Little Rock; eight nephews; ten nieces and a host of other relatives and family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Crystal Sims; brother, Don Sims and a sister, Jean Hornbuckle.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Mulberry Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
