George Dudley Shelton, 68, of Jacksonville passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2006. He was a retired truck driver and a U. S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Christel Shelton, of Jacksonville; three sons and daughters-in-law, George Dudley, Jr. and Julianna Shelton, of Pensacola, Florida, Hans J. and Lisa Shelton, of Greenbrier and Tim and Lisa Shelton, of Ashland, Alabama; two daughters, Barbara Shelton, of Ash Flat and Janie Wright and husband, Kenny, of Jacksonville; two sisters, Jane Hyatt, of Sacramento, California and Bonnie Shelton, of Little Rock; brother, John Shelton, of Little Rock; thirteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Eunice Shelton, a daughter, Connie Chambers and three grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday at Arkansas State Veteran Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.northlittlerockfuneralhome.com.
