George Nabors
George Nabors age 88 of Arkadelphia died Wednesday June 16, 2010. He was born July 28, 1921 the son of Tom and Lillian Edwards Nabors. He was a retired carpenter, a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII, and a member of the Unity Baptist Church. George enjoyed gardening and each year put his garden in with a team of mules until health issues forced him to stop in 2003. He was preceded in death by his wife Lida Graham Nabors and infant daughter Janice Diane Nabors.
Survivors include one son Tommy Nabors of Little Rock and one sister Mary Jo Shepherd and her husband Don of Bella Vista, AR.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Saturday in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phillip Runyan officiating. Burial will be in the Unity Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Unity Cemetery Fund c/o Tommy Medlock, 59 Ranch Rd., Arkadelphia, AR 71923.
