George Lasater

George M. Lasater, 78, of North Little Rock passed away on May 25th at his home after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson. He was born in Morrilton, Arkansas to George W. and Viola Lasater.
George was a member of Baring Cross Baptist Church since 1949 and served in the 2 year old nursery department for 25 years. He was retired from the Missouri Pacific and Union Pacific Railroads after 40 years of service. Also, he retired as Command Sergeant Major with 38 years of military service in the Army and National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Bernice Evans, Kathryn Bellisle, and Faye Lasater; and brothers, Harold Dean Lasater and Gene Lasater. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Relda Lasater; sisters, Billie Bridges of North Little Rock, and Betty Rambo and husband Bill of Scott, Arkansas; and many nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to the VNA health professionals who cared for him during his confinement at home.
Memorials may be made to Baring Cross Baptist Church, or to a charity of your choice.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Arkansas State Veterans? Cemetery, 1501 West Maryland Ave., North Little Rock, Arkansas.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, 758-1170.
