George Walter Graves, 73, of Benton, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 27, 2017. He was born to the late Roy "Sonny" and Burl Taylor Graves on July 24, 1944. He was a member of Sheet Metal Local 36 for many years. George married the love of his life Mary Ella Ross on August 5, 1966. He leaves behind his wife of over fifty-one years, Ella; three sons: Calvin Graves of Little Rock, Danny Graves and wife Lisa of Benton, and Steven Graves and wife Veronica of Bismarck, Arkansas; six grandsons: Ross of Benton, Hayden of the United States Navy stationed in Japan, Nicholas of Conway, Alex of Benton, Mason of Arkadelphia, and Baily of Bismarck; one great-grandson, Ayden of Benton; two brothers: Melvin Graves (Linda) and Ronnie Graves (Peggy) ; one sister, Glenda Yielding and husband Richard; two special nieces: Tammy Benedict and Christy Walters; and many more family members and friends who love George and will miss him always. Reception visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 PM, Saturday, December 2 at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, Arkansas. Memorial service, officiated by Bro. Jim Gardner and Bro. Kim Hammer, will be held following the visitation at 3:00 PM. Honorary pallbearers are Niles Ross, Jim Doshier, L.C.
