George Goodwin,
George W. "Pete" Goodwin, Sr., 102, of North Little Rock, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2009. He was a World War II United States Army Air Corps veteran, retired from United States Army Corps of Engineers and a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church. Mr. Goodwin was 32nd Degree Mason and a Scimitar Shrine member with 75 years of service.
He is survived by his daughter Carole Liles; son and daughter-in-law, Buddy and Linda Goodwin; two grandsons, William and David Goodwin all of North Little Rock; granddaughter, Ashley Bader and Cory; two great-grandchildren, Brittany and Ethan all of Lodi, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Ione Goodwin and a grandson, Scott Liles.
Memorials may be made to a donor's favorite charity.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
