George Ray Gardner

May 2, 1964 — April 27, 2022

Sherwood

George Ray GARDNER, 57, left this earth on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 with his boys and Alex by his side. He’s preceded in death by father Orlen Ray Gardner and his mother Rosemary Ann Gardner. He leaves behind his most treasured gifts, Joseph Ray Gardner and his wife Kirsti, Kolt Ray Gardner, and Gunner Hayes Gardner, along with two grandchildren, Garrison Blaine 3, and Gracen Rae 17 days, Alex Gardner, his wife for 21 years, and his sister, Mary Anne. Along with a host family and the boys friends.

George was an avid hunter, fisherman, and lover of all things in nature. He so loved teaching his sons and their friends about hunting, fishing, and gardening, and all of Gods creations. Some of his fondest memories were watching his boys play sports of every kind!  Whether it was baseball, basketball, or football he was their number one fan! He will be forever missed for his very detailed stories and his one liners, commonly referred to “the world according to George” by those who loved him.  George loved to build a bomb of a campfire and crank up the tunes for a good ole campfire concert - his voice in the choir at Deer Camp will be sorely missed by his children and friends, especially Jody.

George loved deeply, expected nothing in return and deserved nothing but the best. He was at his best when he had “his people” by his side and made them feel special. You know who you are!

Our hearts are broken with your departure from this earth. Cheers and much love to you George Ray. You will be forever missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM, Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (7000 JFK Blvd.).
