George E. "Cowboy" Robertson

George E. "Cowboy" Robertson, age 71, of Mount Ida, died Saturday, April 21, 2012. He was born on June 2, 1940 at Oden, the son of Jeff Robertson and Dovie Kirk Robertson. On March 18, 1961, he was married to Helen Young. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, J. D. Robertson, Elmer Snider, Jr. and Glen Snider; and two sisters, Jo Donathan and Geneva Sheffield. He was a United States Army veteran and retired from Weyerhaeuser. He is survived by his wife, Helen Robertson of Mount Ida; two sons, Jeff Robertson and Darren Robertson both of Mount Ida; three grandchildren, Kali, Cody and Jathan Robertson; three sisters, Janie Black of Little Rock, Juvon Snider of Hot Springs and Letha Stovall of Mount Ida; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 24, 2012 in the Mount Olive Cemetery near Oden. Visitation will be Monday, 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
