George Mack Brickell Jr.

George Mack Brickell, Jr., 88, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away May 29, 2024. He was born November 12, 1935, in Evening Shade, Arkansas to the late George and Elizabeth Brickell.

George is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Clarice Brickell; children, Gale Brickell and Keith Brickell (Marilyn); grandchildren, Nicholas Allison (Leigh), Jordan Allison, Justin Brickell, Skyler Cunningham, Derek Brickell (Meagan), Cameron Cunningham, Kelly Standley (Tylor), great-grandchildren, Maddie, Lily, Jackson, Luke, Kara, Zoey, Marcella, Makenzie, and Nora; sister, Elizabeth Fantry; and a host of family and friends.   

George spent many years working in food service for the Batesville School District.  He was a dedicated Christian who loved God and his family.  Geroge was a wonderful storyteller and loved a good joke.  He never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone.  He had a knack for making people feel comfortable and welcome.  

Visitation will be from 10:00AM-11:00AM on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Sylvan Hills First Baptist Church (9008 Hwy 107, Sherwood, Arkansas) with a memorial service following at 11:00AM.
