George Brown

George Alfred Brown, 79, of Little Rock, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2009. He was retired as an accountant from Remington Arms and very active in the John Barrow Neighborhood Association. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Joan M. Brown and his son, Michael Brown, both of Little Rock; two sisters, Betty Brown of Winneconne, Wisconsin and Ann Brown of Fayetteville, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. and Nell George Brown and his brother, Robert L. Brown, Jr.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 5 from 3-4 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 6 at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville, officiated by Rev. Ed Simpson. Memorials may be made to the John Barrow Neighborhood Association, P.O. Box 45952, Little Rock, AR 72214.
