Genevieve Newton

Genevieve Jones Newton, 82, of Arkadelphia passed away Saturday, October 28, 2006 at Baptist Medical Center, Arkadelphia.  She was born October 14, 1924 in Atkins, Pope County, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Ben T. and Madge Thompson Jones.  She was a Homemaker and member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. 
 
She was preceded in death by her husband Earl F. Newton, Sr., four sisters: Lenna Bewley, Mallie Duvall, Chloe Chronister, and Ruth Norman; three brothers: Glenn Jones, Walter Jones, and J. T. Bewley; and a granddaughter: Heather Michelle Newton.
 
She is survived by one daughter: Judy Hathcock and her husband Donny of Sherman, TX; two sons: Earl Newton, Jr. and his wife Janie of Arkadelphia, and Ronnie Newton, and his wife Rosie of Alma; six grandchildren: Greg Newton, Allison White, Tina Chapen, Angie Tweedy, and Lauren and Lindsey Hathcock; and three great grandchildren: Colton Newton, and Jacob and Anna Grace Chapen.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with Bro. Larry Newsom officiating.  Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens by Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. 
Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday at the funeral home.  Pallbearers are Greg and Colton Newton, Jamie White, Todd Chapen, Brent Tweedy, and Donny Hathcock.
