Geneva Pauline Boatman Taylor, 90, of North Little Rock, died on Saturday, February 4, 2012. She was born on June 13, 1921 in Cadron Township, Arkansas to the late Andrew G. and Flueretta Mabry Boatman.
She graduated from North Little Rock High School in June 1939. During WWII, she was a USO Hostess at Camp Robinson, Arkansas, where she met and later married Lt. Beverly Taylor of Ness City, Kansas.
Her life was filled with love for her family, enjoyment of friends, love and faithfulness to God, and devotion to her church.
Geneva was preceded in death by her husband of forty nine years, Mr. Beverly Taylor; her brother Howard; sisters, Myrtle Guess, Dolly Rhodes, Etta Mademann, and Bonnie Peeples.
She is survived by two brothers, J.B. Boatman of Sherwood and Bob Boatman of Cabot; two sisters, Retta Kaster of Ft. Myers, Florida and Carrie Ann Sorrells of Clarksville, Arkansas; one son, Ron Taylor and wife Linda of Athens, Georgia; one daughter, Vicki Rochelle and husband Gene of Ward, Arkansas; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a multitude of loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel, 1921 Main Street, 758-1170. Burial will be at Mayflower Cemetery.
