Geneva Scantling, age 81, of Hopper, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015. She was born on October 14, 1933, in Little, Texas, the daughter of Audie and Erma McCullough Tabor. On October 29, 1950, she was married to Herb Scantling. She was preceded in death by her son, Brian Scantling; her parents; and two sisters, Fran Hewitt and Dorothy Scantling. She was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church. She is survived her husband, Herb Scantling; her daughter, Teresa Scantling and husband, Kenny Chambers; her granddaughter, Lacie Nicole Scantling, all of Hopper; her brother, Don Tabor of Jessieville; and two sisters, Reba Sharp and June Manire, both of Dierks. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 28, 2015, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. James Black officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, 9:00 AM until service time, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Hopper Cemetery. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
