Gene Shaver
Gene Ross Shaver age 84 died Sunday, January 24, 2010 in Arkadelphia. She was born October 16, 1925 the daughter of Dr. H. A. and Pamelia Ross. She was a member of several bridge groups and the First United Methodist Church of Arkadelphia where she played piano and organ for many years. She was preceded in death by her brother Dr. Wallis Ross.
Survivors are one daughter, Sally Grizzard and her husband John of Chantilly, VA, one sister, Beth Driscoll of Winston-Salem NC, three grandsons, Evan, Ross, and Daniel Grizzard.
Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, January 27 in the First United Methodist Church of Arkadelphia with Rev. Carroll Jackson officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Arkadelphia or the American Heart Association ( www.americanheart.org ) with acknowledgments sent to Mrs. Sally Grizzard, 25057 Gazelle Ct, Chantilly, VA 20152.
