Gene Arnold Seay, 68, of Sherwood passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016. He was born March 29, 1948 in Oppelo, Arkansas to the late Emerial and Marnie Lawson Seay. Gene worked for UPS for 28 years in Accounting and Computer IT, and was a graduate of Arkansas Tech University with Bachelors in Math. He and his wife Paula are in the San Diego Zoological Society as a Founder Circle Members.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Paula Norman Seay; son, David Lyons, of Sherwood; brothers, Otto Seay (Wanda) of North Little Rock and Charles Seay, of Cabot; sisters, Rita Stewart of Cabot, Iva Bingham (Charles) of Oppelo, and Muriel Branch (Gene) of Bigelow; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Seay; and two sisters, Alene Hawkins and Melba Miller.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Little Rock Zoo, #1 Zoo Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205 or the OI Foundation, P.O. Box 824061, Philadelphia, PA 19182-4061.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., Thursday, August 25th followed by a funeral service at 5:00 p.m. at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
