Gene S. Griblin

Gene S. Griblin, age 87, of Norman, passed away Friday, May 1, 2015. He was born on February 19, 1928 at Black Springs, the son of Aura Griblin and Rhoda Jones Griblin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne "Bonnie" Griblin; his son, Mark Griblin; his parents; and his brother, Paul Griblin. He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church and a United States Army veteran. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda and Bruce Sims of Greenbrier and Patricia and David Lappin of Mount Ida; his grandchildren, Michael Griblin, Tiffany Griblin, Cody Griblin, Rachel Lappin, Jacob Lappin and Joel Lappin; and his great-grandchildren, Trevor and Lilly. Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 3, 2015, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Bro. James Black officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, 2:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Black Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cody Griblin, Michael Griblin, Jacob Lappin, Joel Lappin and Scotty Abbott. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
