Gene Ellis

Gene E. Ellis, 84, of Little Rock, went to be with the Lord on September 1, 2018. Gene was a U.S. Army veteran, an avid Razorback and Dallas Cowboys fan, and loved spending time with his family. He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas and worked as a food broker with his father.

He is survived by his wife, Lee Ellis; daughter, Lisa Roberts (Dr. Kevin) of Little Rock; son, Michael Ellis of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Andrew Roberts, Beth Hawley (Colby) and Zach Roberts (Brooke), both of Little Rock, and David Ellis of Fort Worth; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Cole, Henry and Jaxon; sister, Mary Lou Casey (Allen) of Springfield, Missouri; sister-in-law, Kathi Ellis of Greensboro, North Carolina; and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy Nelson Ellis and Lillian Page Ellis, and siblings, Joann Nelson, Jane Clayton and James Ellis.

Visitation will be Friday, September 7 from 5-7 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Graveside services will be Saturday, September 8 at 1:00 p.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Presbyterian Village, 500 Brookside Dr., Little Rock, AR 72205
