Gayle Page

Gayle L. Page of Maumelle, Arkansas passed away on December 24, 2024.

She was born November 5, 1938 in North Little Rock, and later met the love of her life at North Little Rock High School during the 1950’s. They would marry and begin a 66 year journey that led them to many destinations throughout the world. She was a dedicated military wife to Major General (Ret) William C. Page, Jr., who preceded her in death in 2023.

She met the challenge of military life with devotion. She could orchestrate a residential move almost by second nature, then manage a household while keeping her home immaculately clean and always having an great dinner prepared. During the absence of her husband as he served two tours of duty in Vietnam, and multiple assignments near and far, she kept two kids fed, clothed and off to school. She could be the perfect hostess but, at times, preferred to slip away by herself to read a good book or watch a movie. She loved world travel and was a master gardener possessing a magical touch with horticulture.

As much as she loved travel, flowers, books, volunteering and church, she loved her family even more.

She is survived by her son, William C. Page, III of Little Rock, her daughter, Allison D. Carpenter of Fort Worth, TX, grandchildren Zackery Carpenter of Arlington, TX, Jessica Carreon (Gabe) of Fort Worth, TX, Benjamin Carpenter (Kristin) of El Paso, TX and 4 great-grand-children.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Methodist Church in Maumelle or Maumelle Friends of the Animals.

Service will be private, and Gayle will be interred with her late husband at the AR State Veterans Cemetery.
