Gayla Jeanette Goshien, born on September 5, 1971, in Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away unexpectedly on January 6, 2025. She is remembered fondly for her vibrant spirit and the joy she brought to all those who had the privilege to know her.
Gayla was a proud 1989 graduate of Bryant High School. Her personality was as colorful as the life she lived; Gayla was known as a true cowgirl or "goat-roper." She found happiness and fulfillment in spending time outdoors, attending rodeos, cheering during car races, and sharing moments with friends. Gayla's love for music shone through, enjoying songs in every genre,from George Strait to Ozzy Osborne , which often served as the soundtrack to many cherished gatherings.
Throughout her life, Gayla's laughter was contagious, a gift that brightened the lives of everyone around her. She was the life of the party, bringing joy and warmth to gatherings big and small. Gayla's deep love for her family was evident to all, as she cherished the time spent with loved ones and created lasting memories. Her many friends, both old and new, experienced her unwavering loyalty, contributing to a network of life-long friendships that spanned her lifetime.
She is survived by her brother, Shane Goshien and his wife Ronda; niece, Brihanna; special friend, Patricia Barnard, along with many other cousins, aunts, uncles and friends who love Gayla and will miss her dearly. Gayla was preceded in death by her parents, Ronnie Goshien and Phyllis Goshien.
The visitation for Gayla will take place at Smith Family Funeral Home in Benton, Arkansas, on January 16, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 6:00 PM. The family welcomes all who knew and loved Gayla to join in remembering the unforgettable woman she was.
As we reflect on Gayla’s life, we remember her not just for the laughter she shared and her adventurous spirit, but also for the love that she radiated and the profound impact she had on all who had the fortune of crossing her path. She leaves an enduring legacy of joy, friendship, and love.
