Gaston Paul Grubbs, age 72 of Delight passed away on July 6, 2009. He was born in Winnsboro, TX on March 11, 1937 to Algie and Lillian Chambers Grubbs. He was a retired pipefitter, a member of Pipefitters Local 211 in Houston TX, and a member of the Delight United Methodist Church. His parents, two brothers, Bobby Grubbs and Harold Grubbs; and one sister, Grace Whatley preceded him in death.


He is survived by his loving wife, Shelba, his son, Gregg Grubbs of Pearland, TX; daughter, Rebecca Grubbs and her husband, Gary of Delight; his grandchildren, Reagan and Ryann Grubbs of Delight; three brothers, Doug Grubbs, Mickey Grubbs and Johnny Grubbs all of Winnsboro, TX.


Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, July 9, 2009 at the Delight United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Henderson and Rev. Freeman Henderson officiating. Family will be receiving friends 6 - 8 PM Wednesday at the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Burial will be in Delight Cemetery. Pallbearers will be A. W. Martin, Bill Doss, Reggie Lamb, Anthony Quinney, Eric Quinney and Steve Allgood. Memorials may be made to the Delight United Methodist Church.
