Gary Whitfield

Gary Whitfield, 69, of North Little Rock passed away peacefully into the arms of our Heavenly Father on Saturday May 20, 2023 after a few short years of advancing dementia. Charles Gary Whitfield was born January 27, 1954, the only son of Monteen and Charles Whitfield.

Gary was a talented self-taught carpenter. He built several homes during his life. Gary worked at various job during his life; Little Rock School District and the City of North Little Rock at Burns Park. Gary enjoyed building things, restoring vehicles, and being outside.

Gary was always proud of his close relationship with his niece Brandi who became his caregiver in his last years.

Gary is survived by his father, Charles Whitfield; sister Debi Freeman, and niece Brandi Koscielny all of North Little Rock.  He is preceded in death by his beautiful mother Monteen Whitfield, grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Gary’s ashes will be scattered in a private ceremony.

Gary will be greatly missed by family and friends. Dementia is a very tough disease to endure, please consider a donation to Alzheimer’s Arkansas in Gary’s memory.
