Gary Dean Travis, 76, of Alexander, Arkansas passed away April 30, 2020. He was born December 8, 1943 in Longview, Oklahoma to the late Spencer Lee and Geraldine Jerry (Wright) Travis.
Gary proudly served in the United States Air Force. He was a hard worker and was a flat-bed truck owner/operator, which he drove across the country and heavy equipment operator. Gary enjoyed tinkering with things in his shop. He liked to tear things apart and find ways to make them better. Family was important to Gary and he looked forward to their family get-togethers around the holidays.
Preceding Gary in death are his parents; and two siblings: Jerry Lee Travis and Donna Kay Travis.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of almost 50 years, Charlene (Guthrie) Travis of Alexander, Arkansas; two daughters: Shawn Travis and Tanya Travis of Alexander, Arkansas; grandson, Justin Travis; two brothers: Larry Travis and wife Sharon of Ferndale, Arkansas and Kerry "KJ" Travis of Ferndale; three sisters: Cheryl Lane and husband Gary of Alexander, Arkansas, Dea Mercer and husband Johnny of Ferndale, Arkansas, and Sue Drewry of Paris, Arkansas; and many family members and friends who love Gary and will miss him always.
