Gary Perritt

Gary Lynn Perritt, age 74, went to his heavenly home on July 29, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Gary was born on December 25, 1948, in Crossett, Arkansas, to Judge Randolph and Maxine Powell Perritt.

As a young man, Gary excelled in leadership. He was on the high school football team, played the trumpet in the band and served as president of the Student Council. He graduated from Crossett High School in 1967.

Gary married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Dell Warlick. God blessed their marriage of 56 years with two children and four grandchildren who know him by Pop Pop.

Gary and Dell first made their home in Fayetteville, Arkansas, where Gary attended the University of Arkansas and graduated in 1971 with a B.S. degree in Business. Gary was an entrepreneur and started several enterprises throughout his professional career. He traveled extensively in his work and Dell accompanied him on many occasions.  His business in the U.S and internationally filled their life with many stories, friendships and adventures.  In his most recent years, he invested his knowledge and experience in consulting others and pouring into their professional dreams and endeavors.

Gary cherished his family.  He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.  He loved the outdoors and especially being on Lake Ouachita.  He and Dell loved entertaining family and friends at their lake house and on their boat at Crystal Springs and Mountain Harbor in Hot Springs. Some of his most enjoyable moments were spent out on the lake with family  and his beloved lab Daisey.  It was very common to see Daisey riding on the SeaDoo with him as they zoomed across the water.

Gary was a fantastic cook and specialized in desserts.  His pies and bread puddings were mouth watering and always a favorite.  Gary and Dell were the ultimate hosts, always welcoming friends and family into their home with gourmet food and southern hospitality.  Gary met guests at the door with drinks in hand as they arrived.  He was a gifted and experienced barista and made the perfect lattes.

Gary and Dell are members of Fellowship Bible Church West Little Rock. Over the years, he encouraged many young men and he and Dell ministered to youth groups.  Gary was a devout Christian and his trust in Christ was evident in his words and actions.  He displayed an unselfish service and support for others.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Dell Warlick Perritt; his son, James Shawn Perritt of Conway; his daughter Paige Perritt Lindholm (Gregg) of Tucson, AZ; four granddaughters, Hailey Perritt Meriweather (Landon), CiCi Perritt Anthes (Brandon), both of Northwest Arkansas, Morgan Perritt of Conway and Korbin Lindholm of Tucson; two bonus grandchildren, Riley and Leah Lindholm, both of Tucson, AZ; one brother Mike Perritt (Diana) of Little Rock; brother in law, James Warlick (Twylia) of Sherwood; two nieces and one nephew; his beloved canine companion Daisey and a host of friends he mentored and discipled.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

The family would like to offer special thanks to friends and neighbors who have supported them through his illness.  Your encouragement, love and actions have filled our souls.
