Gary Max Cooper

Gary ‘Max’ Cooper – born November 13, 1941, peacefully passed away January 13, 2025 in Little Rock.

‘Max’, age 83, the son of Clyde and Mona Cooper, quietly passed away from complications following an earlier stroke. Max is survived by his wife of 61 years, Linda; his daughter, Sonia; grandson, Troy; Madeline Smallwood and family.

Max was a 1964 graduate of the Univ of Arkansas (B.S. in Mechanical Engineering). During his illustrious career at General Dynamics and BEI Max helped design leading technology in both the Aerospace - and Space – industries. Max lived a full life – he loved the Razorbacks, the Cowboys, woodworking, horses, fishing and pulled-pork BBQ.

A visitation and memorial service are scheduled to commence at 12:30 PM this Friday, January 17, 2025, at Smith Sherwood Funeral Home (7700 Hwy 107). Afterwards Max will be buried at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
