Gary Hearn

Gary Stephen Hearn, 57, of North Little Rock went to be with his Lord Sunday, December 28, 2008. He was born in Peoria, Illinois on February 18, 1951 to parents, Bennie Faye Pylate Hearn and U. Leon Hearn. He was a member of the Brentwood United Methodist Church, Brentwood, Tennessee.
Gary is survived by his mother, Bennie Faye Pylate Hearn; two brothers, Brian Todd Hearn (Lisa Lynne Wheeler Hearn) and Dale Scott Hearn (Kelly Colynn Cannon Hearn); his nephews, Benjamin Ross Francis, Todd Jarrett Hearn (Danielle Leigh Sutton Hearn), Thomas Case Treece, Christopher Scott Hearn, Dakota Allen Treece; one niece, Tabitha Grace Hearn; aunts and uncles, Aunt Evelyn Elaine (Pylate) Redd and Uncle Aaron James Hearn, both of Laurel, Mississippi, William Lange Hearn (Betty Jo) of Brandon, Mississippi and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Gary in death are his father, U. Leon Hearn; paternal grandparents, U. Virgil Hearn and Eula Jane Maddox Hearn; maternal grandparents, Effie W. Martin Pylate and Joseph Benjamin Pylate, Sr.; uncle, Sgt. James Herman Pylate (Korea); aunt, Irma Yvonne Hearn Blair (Matthew Gordon Blair); aunt, Peggy Helen Hearn; and cousin, James Mark Hearn.
He graduated from Brookfield East High School, Brookfield, Wisconsin and was a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Accounting and Computer Science. Computers and music were his passions. He was also a lover of knowledge especially astronomy and research of which he spent many hours in the library. He was well read and kept up with the news and politics.
The family will accept expressions of sympathy through flowers, and memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church in North Little Rock, Central Arkansas Library System, your local library or the Cancer Society.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday at First United Methodist Church of North Little Rock. Burial will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St. 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
