Gary Bastin

Gary Wayne Bastin, 73 of Sherwood, formerly of Coal City Illinois, passed away at home on April 19, 2020.  He was born in Chicago on January 19, 1947 to Roy and Betty Bastin.

He graduated Coal City High School in 1965, joined the Army and served in Vietnam.  He later worked for Union Pacific Railroad.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, brother Bobby Bastin, grandson Alexander Armstrong, and nephew Aaron Dunning.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Bastin, daughters Heather and Valarie, grandchildren; Alyssa, Jacob, Gabriella, Dominic, and Jakson, sister Jaxie Heppner, and nieces Amy and Kelly.

Private service and interment will be at Braceville Cemetery in Illinois, with his family.
