Gary 'Bruce' Skinner was born August 31, 1968 in McCamey, Texas to the late Allison and Dorothy Skinner. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Myrtle Skinner and Bill and Reba Mason. His parents, Dorothy and Al Skinner; his brother Al Skinner, Jr. and his nephew Daniel Dewitt.
Bruce was a hard-working guy. He worked at Arkansas Box for over 10 years and thought of them as his second family and they will miss him dearly.
Bruce was a gem of a guy and had a heart of gold. He loved his family and friends and would do anything he could for them and would give them the shirt off his back if he needed to. There will be a huge hole in their hearts and lives without Bruce. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten and his love for them will always be in their hearts.
Bruce loved riding his motorcycle. He was always taking small trips and looking for other scenic routes he could take. He once had a bald eagle fly low enough beside him, when he was riding, and he thought that was the coolest thing. When his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys, would lose, it was a given he would be on his bike going for a ride.
Bruce loved playing his PlayStation. You could almost always find a controller in his hand when he was home. Bruce was a big kid at heart. He loved having Nerf gun battles and playing with his grandchildren, great niece and great nephew. They loved their grandpa and Uncle Bruce and thought he was the coolest grandpa/uncle they had. He will be missed by them.
Bruce leaves to cherish his memory 3 children, Michael, Ziah and Daria and his new puppy Max who he waited so long for and who will all miss him dearly. 5 grandchildren, Maiya, Noah, Isaiah, Teagan and Liam. His sister Christie Dewitt, his niece Daphne Skinner, great-niece, Ellie Dewitt and great nephews Marcuz Ellis and Beau Dewitt.
Bruce will be deeply missed by everyone. The family would like to thank everyone for their phone calls, messages, prayers and support during this hard time.
Antioch Baptist Church will provide a meal following the services here. The family invites you to join them for a time of fellowship, remembrance and support at this meal.
