Garry Norman Canady, 74, of Conway, Arkansas passed away on Monday, February 3rd, 2025. He was born November 6th, 1950, in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Roy and Jean Ward Canady.
Garry has a long history of Law Enforcement and public service that runs in his family. He is a retired North Little Rock Police officer and served as Deputy Sheriff for the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Dept. He was the first School Resource Officer in the State of Arkansas, was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police having also served as their past president, was a member of the Blue Knights, was an Air Force veteran during Vietnam, and was a Mason (GWRRA) belonging to the Mt. Sinai Lodge #749. Garry loved to ride his motorcycle, go to gun shows and auctions.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years Lisa Marie Canady, by his children, Brenda Babb (Cody), and Jordan Canady of Conway; by three grandchildren Hunter and Caleb Babb, and Isabella Canady; by his brother Steve Canady (Eris), and by extended family that we cannot leave out, Sugar, Birdie, and Bun-Bun, and many friends that will miss him.

Funeral service will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m., February 7th, 2025, at Smith Family Funeral Home-Conway (1751 Dave Ward Drive) with Pastor Terry Turner officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander, Arkansas.
