Garner Ray Combs of McRae, Arkansas passed away October 1, 2018 at the age of 84. He was born July 23, 1934 in Greenbrier, Arkansas to Manson and Edna (McGinty) Combs. He was a charter member of Guiding Light McRae Pentecostal Church of God for sixty years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dorothy (Gardner) Combs, and one sister Vida Mae Jackson.

Garner is survived by one brother, Junior (Janice) Combs; eight sisters, Fay Keathley, Nettie Gay Evans, Dessie Curd, Juanita (Glen) Jones, Shirley Milam, Reva Nichols, Patsy Combs and Marilyn (J.C.) Mingues; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 4, 2018, at Guiding Light McRae Pentecostal Church of God, 105 Elm Street, in McRae, with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
