Garland "Bud" Adron Sampson, 85, passed away on November 18, 2009, in Cabot, Arkansas. He was born in Nevada County on September 14, 1924, to George Pearson and Oma Sampson. Bud was a World War II Veteran and served in the South Pacific Theatre. He worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad for 42 years as a machinist.
Bud was a long-time member of Big Rock Masonic Lodge of North Little Rock and 32 Degree Mason and he was a member of Garner Memorial Methodist Church.
Bud is survived by his devoted and loving daughter, Mary Lou Sampson of Cabot, who cared for both of her parents for many years; brother, James Sampson of Prescott. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dola Sampson; parents, George Pearson and Oma Sampson; brother, Carrol Franklin Sampson; sister, Betty George Manning; and special nephew, Jeffery.
Bud is survived by his special nieces and nephews, Peggy Mozart, Barbara Ellingburk and Audrey Dugan, James Sampson and Sonny Manning. Also he had a very devoted cousin, Calvin Easterling. Calvin and Bud never missed an opportunity to deer hunt together on their old childhood land in Nevada County at Laneburg, Arkansas.
Bud was special and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Please come and join us in our celebration of his life.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at North Little Rock Funeral Home with Brother Chuck Hardy officiating. Interment will follow at Griffin and Leggett Rest Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 758-1170.
