Garland Hay

Garland Daniel Hay, 94, of Conway, passed away on January 28, 2015, at the home of his son, Ronnie where he had lived for the last 5 years. He was born on June 19, 1920 in Cale, Arkansas to Thomas and Mary (Stewart) Hay. He was retired from the Cotton Belt Rail Road and was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. Mr. Hay was a lifetime member of the Lions Club and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Mr. Hay is survived by three sons, Ronnie (Gayle), Donnie (Donna), and Danny (Kathy) Hay, all of Conway; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Misch of Houston, TX and Carol Jean Adams of Atlanta, GA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eula Mae Davenport Hay; four sisters, Lottie Davis, Mildred Moser, Elinor Smith, and Ludy Farr; three brothers, Haskell Hay, Henderson Hay and A.T. Hay.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Diane Baker, Rubye McNear, Susan Davidson, Kirk Hudspeth, Ron Byrd, Blair Presley, Zandy Anderson and nurse, Brittney Pack, along with all his Hospice Home Care family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Home Care, 821A North Creek Drive, Conway, AR 72032.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the Trinity United Methodist Church in NLR. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, at the Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 N. Main St. Burial will be at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
