Galina Surina, 71, widow of Gennadiy Surin, passed away April 14, 2015. She was born in Minino, Russia to the late Ivan Povishev and Maria Lapshina.
She is survived by her daughter, Irina Lendel and husband, Vasili of Little Rock; son, Ivan Surin and wife, Nadya of Surgut, Russia; and her sister, Luba Chashina of Salekhard, Russia.
She was the most caring, loving and selfless mother, the best Mom anyone could wish for.
She has navigated my steps in life since babyhood until now and will leave a hole in my life that will never be filled.
My Mom and my best friend, she will be missed immensely. I hope she is in a better world and will watch after us from above.
Services will be Thursday, April 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, followed by interment at Roselawn Memorial Park.
