Villa Gale McKinnie Raycher of Conway, Arkansas passed away on June 5, 2020. She was born to Amos and Etta Dunn McKinnie in Hampton, Arkansas on October 7, 1936. She graduated from El Dorado High School and moved to Dallas to work for a bank and then back to El Dorado, where she was so proud of her position as a sportwear buyer at The El Dorado House. She so enjoyed her trips to market in Dallas and New York.
She met and married the love of her life, Frank David Raycher, on September 5, 1964 and they were married for 40 years, until his death in 2005. Once they met and started our family, she dedicated her life to taking care of her family. His job moved the family to Virginia, Alabama and Puerto Rico before making Conway their home. She enjoyed volunteering for PTA and other school events, being in Newcomerâs Club and playing bridge with a group of friends regularly. She was a proud wife and mother but nothing was ever as important to her as her role as âGagaâ to her grandchildren and granddogs. She was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan, â90s Chicago Bulls of the NBA fan, especially Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, and lately a Stephan Curry fan. But she most loved to attend sporting and school events of her grandchildren.
Gale is predeceased by her parents, her husband Frank, and daughter Angi Truebenbach. She is also predeceased by her brother, Amos McKinnie, Jr., and sisters, MaryLou Hayes and Margie Walker. She is survived by her children, Mike Raycher (Shay), John Raycher (Holly), Karen Mathiowetz (Craig) and son-in-law Craig Truebenbach as well as her loving grandchildren, Sarah and Hayden Raycher and Riley and Maddie Mathiowetz. She is also survived by her brother, Rudy McKinnie (Mary), her sister Rebecca Gunn, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staffs at Conway Regional Medical Center and Superior Rehabilitation for taking such loving care of our mom over the last several months.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to American Cancer Society, Arkansas Childrenâs Hospital or the charity of your choice.
Visitation will be held Sunday June 7, 2020 2-4 PM at Griffin Leggett Conway Funeral Home, 1751 Dave Ward Drive, Conway. A graveside service will be Monday 9 AM at the Riverwood Memorial Gardens, Maumelle, AR.
