G. Pat Murtha went to be with the Lord on March 7, 2014. Pat was born May 8, 1937 to the late James and Sophia Murtha. He spent his childhood in Sheboygan, Wisconsin and graduated from North High in 1956. Pat married Patricia Voge on November 11, 1961. They moved to Little Rock in June of 1964.
Pat is survived by his wife Patricia, of 52 years; his four children: Carrie Clifford and friend Billy Moore, P.T. Murtha and his wife Theresa, Mike Murtha and his wife Michelle, and Tim Murtha and his wife Karen; his grandchildren: Tiffany Milner and her husband Mark, Nick Clifford, Katelyn Murtha, Justin Murtha, Allison Kemp and her fiancé Josh Curtis, Tyler Kemp and his wife Allison, John Patrick Murtha, Robin Temby and her husband Joe, Christopher Huffer, and Josh Paulick; and his great granddaughter, Scarlett Milner. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Ristenpadt; his brother, Jim Murtha and his wife Ellie; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his family, Pat is survived by his best friend, Lewis Harper and his sweet dog, Brandy.
The family would like to thank Dr. Joe Pevahouse and Dr. Jamie Burton for their love and care through this difficult time. Also, all the thoughtful, caring staff at the Hospice Home Care in Little Rock.
Visitation will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 12th at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St. followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in North Little Rock on Thursday, March 13th at 11:00 a.m. followed by the burial at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Pat Murtha to Arkansas Diabetes Association, 320 Executive Court, Suite 104, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205.
