Frederick "Rick" Anthony Weed

Frederick “Rick” Anthony Weed, 65, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away January 28, 2023. He was born January 18, 1958, in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Edward and Louise “Tiny” (Zakrzewski) Weed.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Edward Weed II; and sister, Victoria Weed Dumboski.

Rick is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Victoria “Vicki” Pruss Weed. Rick and Vicki met in June of 1979 and were married May 10, 1980, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. He is also survived by his daughter, Nicole Burrow and husband, Josh; son, Erick Weed and wife, Sonet; son, Michael Weed; granddaughters, Madelyn Burrow, Ella Burrow and Lyrick Weed; sister, Edwina Weed Feuchtwanger and husband, Hal Feuchtwanger; in-laws, Sarah and Larry Haynes, Barbara and Gene Hahn, Lynn and Helen Pruss, Debbie and Randy Palmquist, Tommy and Sharon Pruss, James and Michele Pruss, Lori and Gary Rhoads, Lisa and Philip Pruss, and Bo and Debra Pruss; 31 nieces and nephews, 44 great nieces and nephews and three great-great nieces and nephews.

Rick was a toolmaker by trade, an avid fisherman, and a beloved grandfather. His three granddaughters were the light of his life. He attended St. Mary’s Grade School, now known as North Little Rock Catholic Academy. He graduated from Catholic High School in 1977 and attended UALR.

Donations may be made in Rick’s name to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, North Little Rock Catholic Academy or Abundant Life Christian Academy.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home (1921 Main Street) with a rosary following at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, February 2, 2023 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with burial following at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Josh Burrow, Edward William Weed III, Hal Feuchtwanger, Sunny Haynes, Nathan Pruss, and Jackson Pruss. Honorary pallbearers will be Lynn Pruss, Tommy Pruss, James Pruss, Bo Pruss and the Honorable Judge Jim Hamilton.
