Frederick Lee Gottschalk

Frederick Lee Gottschalk, 80, of Little Rock, passed away April 23, 2023. Born in Louisiana, he retired from the U.S. Air Force and the United States Postal Service.  He loved reading and photography, and was a best friend to everyone. He never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth Gottschalk, his sons, James Pennell and Ricky Gottschalk, his parents, his sister, Doris Bonin, and brothers, Charlie Gottschalk and James Wallace, Jr.  He is survived by his brother, Gerald Wallace; sisters, Jane Ghaiban, Pat Gonzales and Dorothy Bond; daughter, Joyce Gottschalk and grandsons, Jeffrey and Hunter Gottschalk; stepson, Ronnie Don Pennell and granddaughter, Sabrina; stepson and daughter-in-law, John and Crystal Pennell and granddaughters, McKayla and Ashley; great-granddaughter, Lilly; daughter-in-law, Alesha Page and grandson, Jackson; great-nephews, Colt Bois and Casey Williams; nephew, John McClure (Dahlila) and their four daughters, Felicity, Emma, Grace, and Hope; and his most recent beloved fur babies, Bruno and Toffee.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm on Monday, May 1 at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. A graveside service with full military honors will be held at Rest Hills Cemetery, 7724 Landers Rd, North Little Rock at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.
