Freddy Harold Eastin of Benton passed away on November 7, 2020. He was 78 years old. He was born February 27, 1942 to Homer Ray Eastin and Vera Louise Eastin of Memphis, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son Bradley Carl Eastin. He is survived by his loving wife, Kay Eastin, of 55 years of marriage, his sister Barbara Fischer of Stuttgart and his brother Bill Eastin of Hot Springs. He is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. His surviving children are Max Eastin and Holli Johnson Eastin, both of Benton. Surviving grandchildren are Blake Christian Stratton, Brandon Eastin and wife Jayce with 2 children, and Aden, all of Benton.
He had a degree in teaching and taught at Sylvan Hills High School as a coach and a teacher. He was also in the car business since 1965 and had many friends across the state of Arkansas. He was a well-known athlete at UALR for basketball, baseball, and tennis, and was a Founding Father of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity Chapter at UALR. He was a loving father and will be missed.
