Freddie Dobbs

Freddie B. Dobbs, age 75 of Beebe, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 27, 2022.  He was born on June 8, 1946, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, to Burl and Elizabeth Dobbs. He was an engineer and retired after 40 years with Union Pacific.

Freddie was a devout Christian and attended The Assembly of Cabot. He was a longtime member of the Rolling Hills Country Club, and loved to play golf.  

He was an avid Razorback fan, and his grandchildren and great grandchildren meant the world to him.

He is survived by his wife Melanie of 52 years; one daughter, Terri (Lannie) Leavell, one son, Rod (Krista) Dobbs; three grandchildren: Lanni Campbell, Labray (Jay) Merkel, and Addison Dobbs;  four great grandchildren: Piper and Paxton Campbell, Rainey and Rynn Merkel, all of Beebe; two sisters: Barbara Bowling and Bonnie Taylor; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one nephew Jeff Taylor, and two brothers-in-law: Harold Bowling and Junior Taylor.

The visitation will begin at noon Tuesday, May 31^st at The Assembly of Cabot with the service following at 1 p.m. Entombment will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens in Beebe. Please visit www.smithfamilycares/westbrook to sign the on line registry.
