Fred Kassler

Fred C. Kassler, Sr., 83, of North Little Rock, passed away July 10, 2014. Born in Little Rock to Henry William and Louise Bender Kassler, he was of the Methodist faith. Fred was a U.S. Navy veteran and employed in the grocery industry for over thirty years, working at Safeway, Weingarten's and Kroger stores.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Hodges Kassler; his children, Keith Kassler and wife, Jackie of Scott, Karen Lucas and husband, Greg of Little Rock, Fred Kassler, Jr. and Austin Kassler, both of Little Rock; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brother, Lloyd Kassler and wife, Beth of Alexander; sisters, Katherine Campbell of Lowell and Rose Goad of Little Rock; and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and one brother.

The family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. Charles Clogston and staff at Heart Clinic Arkansas and the staff at Arkansas Hospice for their loving care.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 13 from 4-6 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Graveside services with Military Honors will be Monday, July 14 at 11:00 a.m. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, officiated by Rev. Bill Casey. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 14 Parkstone Circle, No. Little Rock, AR 72116.
