Fred Diffee
Fred C. Diffee age 90 of Bismarck died Thursday, June 10, 2010 in Hot Springs. He was born November 6, 1919 at Beaton, AR the son of Arthur and Pearl Hall Diffee. He was a retired employee of Reynolds Metals Patterson Plant, an Army Veteran of WWII and a member of the Beaton Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Lavinia Allen Diffee and step father and step mother Fred and Gladys Sheets.
Survivors include two sons Calvin Diffee and his wife JoAnn and Carrol Diffee and his wife Corine all of Bismarck, one daughter, Ruby Small and her husband Edward of Hot Springs, one sister, Lois Herrin of Pine Bluff, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday in the Beaton Methodist Church with Brother Gary Hardage officiating. Burial will be in the Beaton Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Saturday at the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Pallbearers will be Mark, Terry, and Scotty Diffee, Rodney Burton, Charles Gaither, Jim Karr and William Wesson. Honorary pallbearer will be Randy Small.
Memorials may be made to the Beaton Cemetery Fund c/o Corine Diffee.
