SFC Franklin 'Buddy' Stricklin, 66, of Jacksonville passed away Thursday, May 31, 2007. He proudly served for 37 years in the Arkansas Army National Guard, was a 32nd degree Mason of Mt. Sinai Lodge, and a member of VFW Post 9095. He was dedicated to his family and friends.
He is survived by two daughters, Robyn Mahoney and husband, John, of Florida and Amber Schmidt and husband, Eric, of North Little Rock; son, Nathan Stricklin and Kari, of Jacksonville; six grandchildren, Cody, Kendra, Jacob, Brittanie, Felicity and Nathan Jr.; six brothers, Junior, O?Dell, Samuel, Paul, Tommy and J.D. Stricklin; two sisters, Anna-Marie Lemmings and Mary Smith and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Lela Stricklin; grandson, Brock Daniel Mahoney, brothers, Johnny and H.L. Stricklin and sisters, Nadine Allen and Wadine German.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to the CCU staff at Springhill Baptist Hospital.
