Franklin Merrell

Franklin D "Frank" Merrell, 76, of Brinkley, Arkansas died Monday June 10, 2013. He was born November 3, 1936 in Wiseman, Arkansas to Arlie and Florene Deal Merrell. He and his wife owned and operated Merrell's grocery at Zent, Arkansas until their retirement. Frank loved music and played many instruments and was a member of Hickory Hill Bluegrass gospel for a number of years. He is survived by his brother, Windell and wife Barbara Merrell of Des Arc as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mae Belle, three brothers, Winford, A.C and William Merrell, four sisters, Annie Merrell, Willia Mae Bartrand, Wilma Sheets and Sandra Evett.
Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Oaklawn Cemetery in Brinkley by Westbrook Funeral home of Beebe, a Smith Family Funeral Home.
