Frankie Sims

Frankie R. Sims, 83, left this earthly home on February 25, 2020 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. Born in Ripley, Mississippi to Autrey C. and Joyce Peeler Renfro, she was her high school graduating class valedictorian. She received a scholarship to Ole Miss but was not able to attend as she needed to work to help support her family. She was a medical technologist at UAMS for 37 years, and a longtime member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. In keeping with her generous nature, Mrs. Sims donated her remains to the anatomical gift program at UAMS.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles Sims, and siblings, Joe Neal Renfro, Dan Renfro and Edna Jean Alberson, she is survived by her daughter, Sonja Sims of Little Rock, siblings, Patricia Olson (Skip) of Michigan and Bob Renfro of Ashland, Mississippi, and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of Frankie's life at a later date. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Valley Church of Christ or to Southern Christian Children's Home in Morrilton.
